Facial rejuvenation in Vancouver

Lines & Wrinkles

Fine lines and wrinkles are creases that may appear with facial movement or become more visible while the face is at rest. They are often influenced by natural facial expressions, sun exposure, skin changes over time, genetics, and lifestyle.

Botox may be discussed for selected movement-related lines. Skin-renewal, laser, or skin-tightening treatments may also be considered when texture, fine lines, or skin quality are part of the concern.

Volume Loss

Volume loss can make areas of the face look flatter, more hollow, or less supported than before. It may be noticed in the cheeks, temples, under-eye area, lips, jawline, or around the mouth.

Natural changes in facial fat, collagen, skin quality, and bone structure can all contribute over time. Dermal fillers and PLLA may be discussed for selected facial-volume concerns after an individual assessment.

Smile Lines

Smile lines, also known as nasolabial folds, are the lines that run from the sides of the nose toward the corners of the mouth. They can become more noticeable with facial movement, volume changes, skin laxity, and natural ageing.

Dermal filler or PLLA may be discussed for selected smile-line concerns. Your treatment plan will consider the full face, not only the line itself, because facial support and volume can affect how smile lines appear.

Smoker’s Lines

Smoker’s lines are fine vertical lines that may appear around the lips. Despite the name, they can occur in people who do not smoke. Repeated lip movement, sun exposure, skin changes, and natural ageing can all contribute.

Depending on the concern, filler, Botox, skin renewal, or laser treatment may be discussed. The best option depends on whether the lines are related mainly to movement, volume, skin texture, or a combination of factors.

Gummy Smile

A gummy smile is when more gum tissue is visible than a person would prefer when smiling. This can be influenced by lip movement, tooth or gum proportions, and facial anatomy.

Botox may be discussed for selected gummy-smile concerns. A consultation is needed to determine whether this is a suitable treatment and to discuss realistic expectations.

Lip Concerns

Lip concerns can include dryness, reduced definition, asymmetry, volume changes, or a desire for a more balanced-looking shape. Lips naturally change with time, hydration, sun exposure, and facial-volume changes.

Dermal filler may be discussed for selected shape, definition, and volume concerns. If persistent dryness, cracking, or irritation is present, an appropriate medical assessment may be needed before cosmetic treatment is considered.

Excessive Sweating

Excessive sweating, particularly in the underarm area, can affect comfort, clothing choices, and confidence. It may occur for several reasons and can be more noticeable in certain situations.

Botox may be discussed for selected excessive-sweating concerns. Your consultation will help determine whether this treatment is appropriate for you and whether any other assessment is needed.

Nose Shape

Some patients would like to discuss minor non-surgical refinement of the nose shape, profile, or symmetry. This is a cosmetic concern and is different from breathing, structural, or functional nasal issues.

PDO thread lifting and dermal filler may be discussed for selected non-surgical nose-shape concerns. An assessment is essential because not every nose or goal is suitable, and these treatments do not replace surgical rhinoplasty.

Skin rejuvenation in Vancouver

Acne

Acne can involve recurring breakouts, clogged pores, inflammation, and post-breakout marks. It may be influenced by hormones, genetics, skincare products, medications, and other factors.

Skin Vector does not assume every active-acne concern is appropriate for an aesthetic treatment. A consultation can help determine whether a skin-renewal option may be suitable or whether medical acne assessment should come first.

Acne Scars

Acne scars are lasting texture changes that can remain after a breakout has healed. They may appear as depressions, uneven texture, or post-acne marks, depending on how the skin healed.

Microneedling, PRP, chemical peels, laser skin rejuvenation, and Fraxel Dual may be discussed for selected acne-scarring concerns. The type, depth, and age of a scar all matter when choosing a treatment plan.

Aging Skin

Aging skin is a broad concern that can include fine lines, reduced firmness, uneven tone, rougher texture, dryness, and loss of facial volume. These changes can be influenced by collagen loss, sun exposure, lifestyle, genetics, and time.

The right plan may involve injectable aesthetics, skin renewal, laser treatments, or skin tightening. You do not need to treat every sign of ageing. The goal is to discuss the change that matters most to you.

Enlarged Pores

Enlarged pores may be most noticeable in areas with more oil production, such as the nose, cheeks, forehead, or chin. Genetics, skin type, sun exposure, acne history, and natural skin changes can influence their appearance.

Microneedling, chemical peels, laser skin rejuvenation, and Fraxel Dual may be discussed for selected pore and texture concerns. No treatment removes pores completely, but some options may help improve the appearance of texture.

Dull or Dry Skin

Dull or dry-looking skin may feel tight, rough, less radiant, or uneven in texture. Weather, skin sensitivity, cleansing habits, hydration, sun exposure, and natural changes in the skin barrier can all play a role.

Chemical peels, mesotherapy, PRP, facial spa massage, or an appropriate skincare plan may be discussed for selected concerns. Persistent irritation, itching, or inflamed skin may need medical assessment before cosmetic treatment.

Pigmentation

Pigmentation refers to darker-looking areas of skin, including uneven tone, sun-related spots, and some post-inflammatory marks. It can be influenced by sun exposure, hormones, skin injury, medications, and genetics.

Chemical peels, laser skin rejuvenation, Fraxel Dual, and skin-renewal options may be discussed after assessment. New, changing, irregular, or medically concerning dark spots should be assessed appropriately before cosmetic treatment.

Rosacea

Rosacea may involve persistent facial redness, flushing, visible vessels, sensitivity, or acne-like bumps. Its signs and triggers vary from person to person, and it is an ongoing skin condition rather than a single cosmetic concern.

Laser skin rejuvenation may be discussed for selected rosacea-related redness and visible-vessel concerns. It is not a cure for rosacea, and a complete treatment approach may involve other medical or skincare considerations.

Spider Veins

Spider veins are small, visible blood vessels that can appear on the face, legs, chest, or other areas. Their appearance can be influenced by genetics, hormones, sun exposure, ageing, and the area of the body involved.

Laser treatment may be discussed for selected visible spider-vein concerns. Not every vein is suited to the same treatment, so an assessment is needed before making a recommendation.

Stretch Marks

Stretch marks are a type of scar that can appear when skin stretches or changes quickly. They are common after growth, pregnancy, weight changes, body changes, and other life stages.

Microneedling and Fraxel Dual may be discussed for selected stretch-mark concerns. Results vary depending on the age, colour, location, and texture of the stretch marks.

Aging Hands

Aging hands can involve thinner-looking skin, reduced volume, more visible veins or tendons, texture changes, and sun-related spots. Hands often show sun exposure and natural ageing differently from the face.

A combination of injectable aesthetics, skin renewal, or laser options may be discussed depending on the concern. A consultation will help determine whether a current Skin Vector treatment is appropriate for your hands.

Knee Wrinkles

Knee wrinkles are skin folds or texture changes that may become more noticeable with movement, skin laxity, dehydration, sun exposure, or natural changes in skin quality over time.

Thermage, Plasma Pen, or other skin-tightening and skin-renewal options may be discussed for selected knee-texture concerns. The area and skin quality need to be assessed before treatment is considered.

Eyes, lifting & skin firmness

Tired-Looking Eyes

Tired-looking eyes can involve dark circles, shadows, thin-looking skin, dehydration, texture changes, or a loss of support around the eye area. Sleep is not always the only reason this concern appears.

PRP, filler, Thermage, and brightening mesotherapy may be discussed depending on the individual cause and treatment area. The eye area requires a particularly thoughtful approach, so recommendations are always made in person.

Eye Bags

Eye bags often describe puffiness or fullness beneath the eyes. They can be influenced by anatomy, fluid retention, skin laxity, changes in under-eye fat, genetics, and lifestyle.

Not every under-eye concern is suitable for an injectable or skin treatment. Dr. Lana will assess whether PRP, filler, Thermage, or another approach may be appropriate, or whether cosmetic treatment is not the right first step.

Jowls

Jowls are changes in the lower-face contour that can make the jawline look less defined. They may develop as skin becomes less firm, facial support changes, and volume shifts over time.

PDO thread lifting, Thermage, filler, or PLLA may be discussed depending on the degree of skin laxity and the goals you would like to achieve. A consultation helps determine whether a subtle non-surgical approach is appropriate.

Turkey Neck

Turkey neck is a common term for loose-looking skin, lines, or reduced definition in the neck area. It can be influenced by skin laxity, collagen changes, sun exposure, genetics, and natural ageing.

Thermage and PDO thread lifting may be discussed for selected neck concerns. Results vary, and non-surgical treatments do not create the same outcome as surgery.

Sagging Skin

Sagging skin may be noticed around the cheeks, jawline, lower face, neck, or eye area. It can be influenced by natural collagen changes, sun exposure, weight changes, genetics, and the gradual loss of facial support.

Thermage radio frequency, PDO threads, PLLA, and other treatment options may be discussed depending on the area and the degree of laxity. Your consultation will focus on what is realistic for you.

Hair, body & PRP concerns

Hair Loss

Hair loss or hair thinning can be distressing and may have many possible causes, including genetics, hormones, stress, health changes, medications, nutrition, and natural ageing.

PRP may be discussed for selected hair-loss concerns. Because different types of hair loss need different approaches, an individual assessment is important. Results vary, and PRP is not a guaranteed hair-restoration treatment.

Unwanted Hair

Unwanted facial or body hair is a personal cosmetic concern that can be influenced by genetics, hormones, hair colour, skin tone, and the area being treated.

Laser hair removal may be discussed for selected areas. Suitability, expected treatment sessions, and likely results vary by person, hair type, skin tone, and treatment area.

Double Chin

A double chin is fullness below the jawline that may be more visible because of facial structure, genetics, localised fat, skin laxity, weight changes, or natural ageing. It can affect people at many body sizes.

Lipolytic injections may be discussed for selected double-chin concerns. Your consultation will determine whether the area may be suitable for this treatment.

Stubborn Fat

Stubborn fat refers to a small, localised pocket of fat that may not change in the way a person expects with diet and exercise. Genetics, body composition, hormones, and natural fat distribution can all play a role.

Lipolytic injections may be discussed for selected localised-fat concerns. This is not a weight-loss treatment, and suitability depends on the area and your individual assessment.

Joint Pain

Joint pain can involve discomfort in areas such as the knees, shoulders, hips, wrists, or elbows. It can have many possible causes, including injury, overuse, inflammation, arthritis, or another medical condition.

PRP is listed among Skin Vector’s active Jane services and may be discussed for selected joint-pain concerns. This requires an individual medical assessment and is not appropriate for urgent injuries, severe pain, sudden swelling, fever, or other acute symptoms.
